The Journal of the Egyptian Society of Engineers is a semi-annual scientific journal published periodically, and additional issues can be issued during the year in case of necessity. Articles and research papers that contribute to raising the level of engineering sciences and their applications and topics related to the development of the engineering profession are published. Researches and scientific studies are accepted for publication after being judged by the refereed professors. Those who are accredited in one of the Arabic or English languages are issued by the Egyptian Society of Engineers and their topics are edited by an editorial board made up of a group of experienced engineers consisting of a board chairman, an editor-in-chief, and a group of specialized editorial members.
The origin of the first magazine was in the form of a periodic book that recorded the scientific and administrative works of the Egyptian Society of Engineers, and the first book was distributed on November 28, 1923, and in 1962 it became the magazine of the Egyptian Society of Engineers, and the first issue of it was published in July 1962, and it is still published in succession until now.
Explanation of the arbitration process from the beginning of submitting the article until its completion
1- The publication applicant submits three copies of the research to be published in the journal, whether in one of the Arabic or English languages, as follows:
Two copies of the search without names
A comprehensive copy of the names and all data of the research provider and his participants, if any
- The search in Arabic includes an abstract in English, which is equivalent to about half a page
2- The research to be judged shall be sent without the submitted names attached to it the research arbitration form to a number of two professors who are refereed according to specialization, to be selected from the lists of arbitrators issued by the Supreme Council of Universities to be examined and subsequently returned to the journal.
3- The research is either refused or rejected according to the following:
A- If the research is accepted after the arbitration by the two arbitrators, the research provider gives consent to accept the publication of the research and the research is published in one of the issues of the journal.
B - If the research is rejected by the two arbitrators, it will not be accepted for publication and the research provider shall be notified of that
C- If the research is rejected by one of the arbitrators, it is sent to a third arbitrator in the specialty, and if it is authorized for publication, publishing procedures will be taken according to the previous clause.
D- If the research is not approved by the third arbitrator (not approved), it will not be accepted for publication and the research provider shall be notified of that.
